kopfkissen asked: hi sorry to bother you, but i know you love zaimoglu as much as me.... hahaa, well i have to write a commentary on a passage from "die skinhead-story" and there's this sentence "Dann, ein Tag spaeter, stands inner Zeitung, einer is gestorben und wurde wiederbelebt, n Bundeswehrsoldat, mit Elektroschocks haben die ihn wiederbelebt, den Typen, Hardcore" and the bit about Typen and Hardcore makes me feel uneasy, i don't know why it's used there? wondering if you had any ideas if you could help :) x
Hi,
the Word “Typ, Type, Typen” is used im slang for guy, lad or something like that, male only. And “Hardcore” as an exclamation or comment at the end of a sentence just means, that the matter in question is, uhm, somewhat extreme. It’s used in youth-slang only. The thought behind that ist, that you declare something being as extreme as hardcore-porn. (Extreme in any way, not just sexually)
Well.
I hope that this is helpful.
